Title: Becoming a Produce-HER
When I listen to Pastor Toure’ Roberts teach, I always find that notes 📝& multiple replays 🔁 will be a requirement to fully digest the full message. This time was no different.
Woman EVOLVE 2019 had already been so impactful that I’d filled up 3 of 4 notes pages in my program before we even attended this main session. Luckily I had my notes app on my phone ready. There were so many points: wisdom ➡️ understanding, the two yous, male & female as it pertains to God. Believe me there is more but I wanted to stick with one story & subsequent quote that held me captive.
PT told a story of visiting the house of a wealthy individual. This house seemed to be filled with with the best and with no expense spared. PT marveled at all this person had amassed, they were party of the beauty of their accomplishments. It wasn’t long before he began to look at this individual and recognize that what he was seeing, was only the product of what was within. See this person was able to bring life to the vision that was within them. He then said something, I won’t forget…
“Great people learn how to get what is in them, out of them”
When I review my notes I keep going back to this quote. It hit different 🧐, you know. Like I needed to really dig deep. I found myself asking what do I need to do to get what’s in me, out of me? How can I get what is in me out of me? I think this ties in with the portion he taught about transitioning from wisdom to understanding. It’s the willingness to ask the difficult questions. But not just ask, seek out the answers. That’s the maturity that comes with introspection. For many, including me, the why’s & how’s can be emotionally challenging to track through, our growth depends on our ability to do just that. This was the question that got me…
“Have I faced my giants?”
Tough😤! Right? This is a loaded question and I wasn’t willing to unpack it while at the conference but I starred it in my notes because I wanted to come back to it. In accordance with my declaration to put more #SkinInTheGame I will post some of what I unpack. What I do know: David defeated his giant and so will I. I’m GREAT TOO!
