Grace Alliance

Have you ever searched the internet for help? You know, how to unclog a sink or 30minute meal recipes. The internet is full of information. I’ve searched for tech advice on the best wireless routers or the latest news in sports. It’s crazy how much is out there and how many pages of google can fill up with non-sensical information. Wait, here is where I know you’ve been, you aren’t feeling well and you don’t want to go to the doctors so WebMD is where you turn. There you realize your cough and chest congestion could be a common cold or tuberculosis. Fear sets in and then you remember you don’t have a PhD and it’s never a good idea to self diagnose using the internet as your main source of information.

So, when I realized something was wrong I made the decisions to research my symptoms. I searched a few sites and while the diagnosis stared me in the face I refused to believe it. In response, I tried to find sites that discussed how to improve, ways I could help myself. I found Grace Alliance to have some very helpful information. Provide healthy solutions for the mind, that’s their tagline. I’ve learned their solutions are founded on principles of faith and true research on how the mind works. It’s obvious they take the subject of discovering health solutions seriously.

If you are looking for a site that has some support options check them out. The one option they’ve offered and I’ve found more helpful than I could have imagined is group support. Group support gives you in an opportunity to see that you are not alone. Listening to others as they discuss their experiences, some starting their recovery, some in the middle of recovery, and some on the other side doing well. As you listen to the stories and the gambit of emotions you will realize that anyone having suffered with these symptoms has felt the way you have felt. You are not alone, you are not the only one and others have been where you’ve been, where you are and where you are going. Group sessions, with a trained moderator, is a healthy communication tool that allows you to work through your symptoms through your story and even more so, the story of others.
